‘Nottinghamshire v. Yorkshire’ 1904. Early original commemorative silk scorecard for the match played at Trent Bridge, 9th- 11th June 1904. In a match notable for three centuries, Nottinghamshire elected to bat first and scored 352 with centuries from Arthur Jones (113) and John Dixon (135). Yorkshire then reached 452, a first innings lead of exactly 100, with John Tunnicliffe making 119. Nottinghamshire were then dismissed for 111, with Yorkshire scoring the twelve required runs without loss for victory by ten wickets. Printed by Charles H. Richards of Nottingham. 5.25”x7.75”. Originally from the collection of A.O. Jones, captain of Nottinghamshire in this match. The scorecard is laid down by the top and bottom edges to black album page. Slight adhesive show-through, otherwise in very good condition.
