Yorkshire C.C.C. 1904 & 1905. Three early original scorecards. Matches are Surrey v. Yorkshire, Kennington Oval, 18th- 20th July 1904. Incomplete printed scores. In the first innings Yorkshire were bowled out for 162, Surrey’s Ernest Nice taking a career best 8/83. Surrey replied with 349 (Ernie Hayes 104, Tom Hayward 88), before Yorkshire declared their second innings at 492/5 (John Tunnicliffe 139, George Hirst 108, David Denton 105). Surrey ended 131/3 and the match was drawn. The lower portion of the scorecard trimmed. 5”x5.25”. Kent v. Yorkshire, Tunbridge Wells, 13th- 15th July 1905. Double sided scorecard with incomplete printed scores. Kent scored 142 (William Ringrose 6/66) and 174 (George Hirst 5/43), Yorkshire 239 and 81/2 to win by eight wickets. 10”x6.25”. Horizontal and vertical folds with some splitting to fold, foxing. ‘Yorkshire (Champion County) v. Rest of England’, Kennington Oval, 14th- 16th September 1905. Incomplete printed scores. Yorkshire scored 190 (Hirst 68) and 213 (Schofield Haigh 78), The Rest 172 (Rhodes 6/99) and 166 (Rhodes 5/59), Yorkshire winning by 65 runs. 5”x7.75”. Very good condition.
