Australia tour of England 1921. Four original scorecards for tour matches played on the 1921 tour. Three with incomplete printed and/ or handwritten scores. Matches are v Surrey, Kennington Oval, 7th- 10th May, Australians won by an innings and 55 runs, scoring 357/9 declared in their only innings (Collins 162), Surrey dismissed twice, for 79 and 223, Warwick Armstrong taking twelve wickets for 77 runs in the match. v M.C.C., Lord’s, 21st- 24th May, Australians won by three wickets, M.C.C. 284 & 176, Australians 191 & 271/3 (Bardsley 106). Durston took eleven wickets in the match for M.C.C. v Surrey, Kennington Oval, 18th- 21st June, Australians (213 & 158) beat Surrey (175 & 118) by 78 runs, Australia’s Gregory top scorer with 101, Surrey’s Hitch taking ten wickets in the match. Odd minor faults, otherwise in good condition. Also ‘Australians v. An England XI’, The Saffrons, Eastbourne, 27th- 30th August, England XI (43 & 326) beat the Australians (174 & 167) by 28 runs. England XI’s Faulkner top scored in the match with 153, the Australians bowlers McDonald (11/119) and Armstrong (8/89) shared the wickets. Printed on the ground by H.J. Capon of Eastbourne.
