Australia tour of England 1921. Two original commemorative silk scorecards from the 1921 tour, for matches played at Trent Bridge, both scheduled for three days but complete in two. One for the first Test, 28th & 30th May, Australia won by ten wickets. England batted first and were bowled out for 112, Jack Gregory taking 6/58. In reply Australia reached 232 (Warren Bardsley 66). England were then bowled out in the second innings for 147 (Ted McDonald 5/32), and Australia knocked off the required runs to end 30 without loss. The other is a rare silk scorecard for the tour match, Nottinghamshire v Australians, 25th & 27th June. The Australians won by the huge margin of an innings and 517 runs. Batting first they amassed 608 runs for the loss of seven wickets on the first day. They were finally dismissed for 675, Charlie Macartney scoring 345, Nip Pellew 100. Nottinghamshire were then skittled out twice, for 58 and 100. Both scorecards with tape to verso edges, with slight show through to front, otherwise in very good condition.
