Middlesex v Lancashire 1929. Gubby Allen ten wickets in an innings. Original commemorative silk scorecard for the match played at Lord’s, 15th- 18th June 1929. Lancashire elected to bat first and posted 241 (Ernest Tyldesley 102), Gubby Allen taking all ten wickets for forty runs off 25.3 overs, eight were clean bowled, his career best bowling figures. Middlesex replied with 228 (Harry Lee 124, Dick Tyldesley 5/40). In the second innings Lancashire made 310/9 dec. (Len Hopwood 106no), and Middlesex ended 170/5 (Lee 105), the match was drawn. The scorecard is laid down to black album page. Approx. 7”x10”. Very good condition.
