South Africa tour to England 1935. Nine official scorecards including a commemorative silk scorecard for England v South Africa, 1st Test, Trent Bridge, 15th- 18th June, in which R.E.S. Wyatt made 149 in England’s only innings of 384, and Stan Nichols took 6/35 for England in South Africa’s first innings, match drawn. Sold with another standard scorecard from the match with players listed at the start of play and annotations. Others, the majority with incomplete scores, are v Lancashire, Aigburth, Liverpool, 19th- 21st June, match drawn, players listed at start of play. 2nd Test, Lord’s, 29th June- 2nd July, South Africa won by 157 runs. 3rd Test, Headingley, 13th- 16th July, match drawn. 4th Test, Old Trafford, 27th- 30th July, match drawn, complete printed scores. v Surrey, Kennington Oval, 31st July- 1st August, South Africans won by an innings and 205 runs (Mitchell 196, Rowan 171). 5th Test, Kennington Oval, 17th- 20th August, match drawn (Mitchell 128, Dalton 117, Leyland 16, Ames 148no). v H.D.G. Leveson-Gower’s XI, Scarborough, match drawn. Good condition
