M.C.C. tour to South Africa ‘Timeless Test Series’ 1938/39. Two official folding scorecards for tour matches played at Old Wanderers, Johannesburg. The first for the match Transvaal v M.C.C. 16th- 19th December 1938. The scorecard with the players listed at the start of play. Transvaal scored 428/8 dec. (Mitchell 133), M.C.C. 268 (Ames 109), and Transvaal ending 174/2, the match was drawn. The other for Combined Transvaal v M.C.C. 27th- 30th January 1939 with printed scores for the Transvaal completed first innings of 304. M.C.C. replied with 434 (Hutton 148) and Transvaal ended 220/2 (Melville 107), the match was drawn. Both printed by Sterling Printer of Johannesburg, each overall 12.25”x9.75” Odd minor faults, otherwise in good condition.
