The Ashes. ‘Souvenir of the Second Test Match England v Australia’ 1903/04. Rare early mono postcard of the scorecard for the match played at Melbourne, 1st- 5th January 1904, with ornate decorative borders, title and emblems. Publisher unknown. Postally unused. Very good condition. A rare postcard.
In the first innings England scored 315 and dismissed Australia for 122, Rhodes taking 7/56. England were then bowled out for 103 (Trumble 5/34), and Australia for 111 (Rhodes 8/68), England winning by 185 runs. Wilfred Rhodes ended with match figures of 15 wickets for 124 runs.
