Scarborough Cricket Festival 1948. Four mono real photograph postcards of teams at Scarborough. Teams are one of Yorkshire, another of the M.C.C. XI for the match played 1st- 3rd September, M.C.C. South African touring team v Leveson-Gower’s XI 4th- 7th September, and H.D.G. Leveson-Gower’s XI v Australians 8th- 10th September 1948. Players’ names annotated to verso of three and to front border of one, including Sellers, Coxon, Wardle, Brennan, Smailes, Yardley, Lester, Hutton, Halliday, Wilson, Foord, Wyatt, Dewes, Donnelly, Heane, Cranston, Brown, Evans, Young, Tremlett, Simpson, Crapp, Gladwin, Bedser, Compton, Laker, Fishlock etc. Handwritten title in ink to lower border of two postcards, three with official stamp to verso of Walkers Studios, Scarborough. Very good condition.
