‘England v Australia. Second Test Match- Sydney’ 1928. Original mono photograph of the Australian team for the 2nd (timeless) Test, Sydney, 14th- 20th December 1928, the players seated and standing in rows wearing cricket attire and Test blazers. Players featured are Ryder (Captain), Bradman, Oldfield, Kippax, Richardson, Grimmett, Woodfull, Ponsford, Ironmonger, Blackie, Nothling and Hendry. The photograph by Jas. C. Cruden of Pitt Street, Sydney, measures 9.5”x7.5”, laid to official photographer’s mount with printed title and players’ names to borders. The original mount is overlaid with a hinged modern mount. Overall 17”x14”. An excellent image in very good condition.
Australia lost to England by eight wickets in the 2nd Test. Don Bradman was twelfth man.
