John ‘Jack’ Mercer. Sussex, Glamorgan & Northamptonshire 1919-1947. Cricket ball with silver plaque attached with inscription ‘Wales v Scotland, 21,23, 24th July 1923. 9 wickets for 24 runs by J. Mercer’. Good condition
Jack Mercer took nine wickets for 24 runs for Wales in Scotland’s first innings and took a further four in the second innings. The match was played at North Inch, Perth, Scotland and Wales won the game convincingly by an innings and 111 runs
