Three original and complete copies of newspapers. ‘The York Herald’, 1651Saturday 10th December 1853. p6 columns 3-5 carries a lengthy report on the ‘Annual Dinner of the York Cricket Club’. Duty stamp to lower right corner of front page. ‘Sporting Gazette’, Saturday 6th January 1872. p13 columns 1-2 with cricket article ‘Cricket on the Hearth’ covering cricket in Croydon, cricket reform and the conservative attitudes of the M.C.C., appreciations of W.G. Grace, Lockwood, Jupp, Bignall, Daft etc. Heavy wear and tear to spine and back page which is almost detached. ‘The Times Weekly Edition’, Friday 21st September 1894. p751 column 4 with a report on the match between W.G. Grace’s XI and W.W. Read’s XI at Reigate, Gentlemen v Players of the South at Lord’s etc. Faults to one as described, otherwise in good condition.
