Timothy Arthur Dent ‘Tim’ Bevington. Middlesex 1900-1904. Two page handwritten folding letter in ink from Bevington to a school boy. Dated 28th October 1953 from his home in Vancouver, Canada, Bevington writes ‘I am glad you are in your school XI & wish you all sorts of luck & remember that the great secret of cricket is practice, you can’t have too much. I used to spend hours in the nets at Lord’s’. He closes by offering to try to get the autographs of ‘one or two old county cricketers’ now based in Canada. Signed ‘Tim A.D. Bevington. Middlesex 1903 & 1904’. Light folds, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
Bevington played his final first-class match in 1913 when he appeared for Canada and United States of America against the touring Australians in Toronto.
