James Douglas. Cambridge University & Middlesex 1892-1913. Single page handwritten letter in ink from Douglas, writing from Dulwich College. Writing to a Mr. Hodgson, Douglas states ‘I had a letter from my uncle Rev. R.H. Douglas asking me if I would write a testimonial for a Bacton man named Holmes who, I believe, played against Thrumpton about 8 years ago... [I] have written the enclosed in case it may be of any use’. Nicely signed ‘J. Douglas’. Horizontal fold, foxing, otherwise in good condition.
