Gentlemen v Players, Lord’s 1936. Official mono photograph of the Players team who played against the Gentlemen on the 15th-17th July 1936. The players seated and standing in rows wearing cricket attire and various cricket blazers include Hammond (Captain), Verity, Leyland, Gover, Hardstaff, Barnett, Copson, McCorkell, Gimblett etc. The photograph, by Sport & General, measures 11”x9.5”, laid down to official photographers mount and overall measures 17”x15.5”. Some wear to mount with some rounding to corners and loss to the top right hand corner otherwise in good condition. From the collection of Hedley Verity
