Middlesex v Yorkshire 1937. ‘Extra Special E. Patsy Hendren’ miniature replica bat by G. Warsop & Sons, Marylebone, with maker’s name to shoulders and trademark cannon emblem stamp to face below the splice. Maker’s name to bat rubber and top of handle. The cane handle with two rubber spring inserts. Very nicely signed in ink to the verso by all eleven members of each of the Middlesex and Yorkshire teams with handwritten title for the ‘Challenge Match played at The Oval Sept 11, 13, 14 1937. Yorkshire won by [an] innings and 115 runs’. Signatures are Robins, Owen-Smith, Butterworth, Felton, Hendren, Smith, Hart, Sims, Price, Gray, Edrich (Middlesex), Sellers, Yardley, Barber, Wood, Verity, Hutton, Mitchell, Bowes, Smailes, Sutcliffe, Leyland (Yorkshire), and the two umpires, Hardstaff and Chester. The bat measures 17.5” tall by 3” wide. Slight bleeding to the titles, the signatures, rubber grip and bat in immaculate condition.
