Australians tour to England 1905. Early mono postcard depicting cameo images of the fifteen members of the Australian touring party, with printed title ‘The Australians’ and players’ names to lower margin. Publisher unknown, but appears to be a scarcer variation of the photographic example published by Philco. Postmarked Manchester 27th May 1905, the handwritten correspondence nicely describes the Australians’ victory by 244 runs against Lancashire at Old Trafford in a ‘splendid game... and their fine display of high class cricket’. Very minor soiling, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
