‘Lancashire Cricket Record 1883’. Rare second year of issue. Printed and published by Fletcher & Speight, Bury 1883. 68pp. Original green paper wrappers. Comprises ‘Full scores of Lancashire County Matches and the Australians during last season [1882]’. Ownership stamp to title page of ‘F.E.S.’. Padwick 2712. Some loss and wear to wrappers with loss to spine, rear wrapper detached, otherwise in good condition for the age.
Only two issues of the Lancashire ‘Cricket Record’ were published by Fletcher & Speight, the first was titled ‘1881’ and published in 1882, this edition with a slightly different title, covered season 1882 and was titled ‘1883’. They also published two similar titles for Yorkshire cricket in the same years.
