Pakistan tours to England 1954, 1962 and 1967. Three miniature replica ‘Extra Special’ bats by G. Warsop & Sons, Marylebone, covering Test matches played at Lords. All three bats with maker’s names to shoulders, two with ‘Warsop’ stamped to the top of the handle, each of which has two rubber inserts. The bats are fully signed in ink to the face by members of the England and Pakistan teams for seasons 1954 (22 signatures including Hutton, Bailey, Compton, May, Tattersall, Kardar, Fazal Mahmood, Alimuddin, Maqsood Ahmed etc.), 1962 (23 including Dexter, Cowdrey, Allen, Barrington, Trueman, Burki, Hanif Mohammad, Mushtaq Mohammad, Mathias etc.), and 1969 (23 including Close, Graveney, Illingworth, Milburn, Intikhab Alam, Wasim Bari, Asif Iqbal, Khalid Ibadulla, Majid Khan etc.). All bats have an initial stamped and/or handwritten to the toe, possibly of the apprentice maker. The bats measure approx. 18” tall by 3” wide. Some fading to the odd signature, the 1962 lacking its rubber grip, the bats in immaculate condition.
